Tsinghua University, referred to as "Tsinghua", is located in Haidian District, Beijing City and is one of China's top universities. The school was founded in 1911 and was formerly known as Tsinghua School. It was named after Shuimu Tsinghua University and is known as the "cradle of red engineers." The school is directly affiliated to the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is a national "double first-class" Class A,"985 Project" and "211 Project" key construction university, and has been selected into several national-level education and training plans.
Tsinghua University has multiple colleges and departments, covering 12 subject categories including science, engineering, literature, art, history, philosophy, economics, management, law, education and medicine. It has top teachers at home and abroad. The scientific research team has made outstanding achievements in scientific research, teaching and social services.
