Tongji University is a comprehensive university with a long history and reputation. It has multiple national-level scientific research platforms and key disciplines, and carries out diversified educational and scientific research activities.
The predecessor of Tongji University can be traced back to the German Medical School founded by German doctor Erich Paulun in 1907. After many developments and changes, Tongji University has become a top university covering nine disciplines, including science, engineering, medicine, literature, law, economics, management, philosophy, and education. With its rigorous academic atmosphere, outstanding scientific research strength and excellent teaching staff, the school has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents and made important contributions to the country and society.
